If you want a steady "kinda lazy" (but psh..not THAT lazy...it's just a more "laid back" type of lifestyle...worry-free..and all FUN, then come HERE! I love Hawaii. there's so much things to do here. like you could go...around the island...see the beautiful beaches in Waikiki. if you wanna see how it looks like, you can always look in the internet. hehehehe. but oh well. totally up to you.

Caffeinated Content for WordPress

It's one of the most hospitable places you'll ever visit. We even have a saying in Hawai'i that translate to English (E komo mai!), "Welcome!" or "Welcome, to our home." If you are respectful and not rude, you'll feel at home. It's people like that posters (starts with T) who can't even see a pattern of his/her why he/she is being snob by everyone. Apparently everyone in Hawaii is snubbing him, and I would assume almost everywhere else - with such an attitude and strong unsubstantiated opinion... hm... As far as being the most expensive place in the world, well apparently that person is not educated enough to make and educated guess - maybe he hasn't heard of Japan, Switzerland... It is expensive, but who does actually set the standard of prices...
Then there are places (I won't name where, don't want to offend anyone) when you faint on the street, they'll just ignore you. Not so in Hawaii, they might even take you home to make sure you're not badly hurt.

Lazy? You know how expensive it is in Hawaii. You can't be lazy and live at such place. You think everyone is so rich that they don't need to work. Or that we don't lend a helping hand to each other... I've seen many places where there are a lot of lazy people, but I wouldn't categorized that place as a place of lazy people; as I would not categorized where you came from, a place of... never mind, you're such a contradition.

Maybe, if that person comes back to Hawaii and leaves his/her bad attitude, ignorant opinions, rudeness, disrespectful self he/she will find a different Hawai'i or maybe other places else s/he's been to, also. Or maybe someone is being a TROLL or baiting... hmmm....

I got to go the store and buy the pillsbury kine and make myself some malasada-like treat.

I N A D D I T I O N:

You can GOOGLE Hawaii People and use the IMAGES feature of Google, and you will see the diversity of people living there. Majority in Oahu are Asians, but you will always see different ethnicity, size, shape, and then there are the tourists from different countries.

it's normal to be scared to move anywhere. i was scared to move from hawaii to washington. about hawaii? well they are islands in the middle of the pacific ocean. how about you tell us which island you want to learn about. then we can help you more. i'll edit after you add the island you want to know about...if i know anything about it.

aloha!

edit...EXCUSE ME talbot983! yah, hawaii is expensive to live. yes, some of the locals are snobs. we have a hard time excepting outsiders like any place in the world. come on! don't make it sound like hawaii is the only place that does that! i moved to washington from maui, hawaii and some people up here look down on me and are snobs...not all of them! just a hand full out of the hundreds in my neighborhood. i went to europe for vacation when i was in intermediate school and we were told not to stare at the locals there because they don't like tourist much. if it's a hard adjustment for you to make "to live with the lazy way of people in hawaii"...then go back to where ever you came from because we certainly did not ask you to come! not everyone is lazy...people work hard and relax all in one day. that's something that some people have a hard time doing because they just work, work, work. you gotta relax sometime!

ahhh! people like you make me angry! you sound very ungrateful and rude. you seem to have a bad attitude and sound like the kind of person i would be snobby to. you must be an unhappy person.

edit...haha! jake, did you ever go make your malasadas? craig got us thinking about it. maybe i'll make some tomorrow...if im not lazy to walk to the store.

okay, back to the question. i don't know much about oahu...sorry! im a maui gurl.

Hawaii is one of the MOST expensive places to live in the world.
most things are shipped i. and the prices reflect that added cost.
I have found the people of Hawaii to be snobs at times and not just the rich white folks but the locals too.

The people of Hawaii, I have found take a long time to accept outsiders. And it is a very hard adjustment, to live with the Lazy way of the people there.
