go to
1) on the right-hand side, click on Honolulu
2) start your search
3) contact information is listed and response is between immediate to 24 hrs.

on big island or anywhere on hawaii try to local paper websites.
Big Island (westhawaiitoday.com or hearald tribune)
Oahu (Honolulu Advertiser)
You can also try craigslist.com and click on honolulu and then in the search type in the city you want to live in.

Between $1000-1400 is going to be a hard range to match for good housing on Oahu. Especially anything close to Honolulu. However, you may find a small apartment for that price…but definitely not inside Honolulu. Your best bet is to search for several real estate agents on the island and call ahead. They’ll send you information and current listings in the mail before you arrive. Be sure to mention your price range and area of preference.
